Can Users Passwords be Manually Assigned?

Are portal email invites getting lost in cyberspace? Here's a method to manually generate passwords for your Portal Users

System Administrators have the ability to manually assign Portal users a password. Here's how:
1. On the righthand side of the Portal Users page, you can click on the "key" icon to generate a temporary password for that user:

2. Then, a dialog box will appear on your screen, displaying a randomly generated temporary password. This password is unique to the user and can be used to log in to the portal. To easily share this password with the user, simply click on the "copy" icon next to it. This will automatically save the password to your clipboard.

Once you have copied the temporary password, you can conveniently email it directly to the corresponding user. This ensures a secure and private delivery of their login credentials. By sending the password directly to the user's email, you can provide them with immediate access to the portal.

It's important to note that the temporary password is only valid for a limited time and must be changed by the user upon their initial login. This additional layer of security ensures that users have control over their account and can personalize their password to meet their preferences and security requirements.

By following these steps, you can efficiently assign a temporary password to a portal user, allowing them to access the system and start benefiting from its features and functionalities.
