      EducationShield Chrome: How to Enable Overlay Permissions

      Grant this permission so emergency alerts can always show above other apps on your Chromebook

      Steps to Enable Overlay (“Display over other apps”) Permission

      1. When the “Display Over Other Apps” prompt appears, click Allow.

      2. You’ll be taken to the Display over other apps settings screen. Tap EducationShield Chrome (it will show Not allowed).

      3.  On the next screen, turn on the Allow display over other apps toggle.

      4.   Confirm the toggle is on and the status now shows Allowed, then use the back arrow to return to the previous screen.

      Once this permission is enabled, EducationShield Chrome can display important alerts on top of other apps.
