Pre-populating Computers for CPB Deployment

This article provides a guide on how to pre-upload Computers to 911Cellular Portal

Pre-populating computers to the 911Cellular Portal ensures that computers that are connected via ethernet do not get a location prompt upon deployment of the Computer Panic Button. Both computers on Ethernet and WiFi can be preuploaded using the template, however only the computers on Ethernet will not get a location prompt. For Computers on WiFi, location will be determined by the strongest Access Point.


Getting Started

  1. Go to Manage Devices → Computer Panic Buttons
  2. Click on “Upload”
  3. Download and open template
  4. Delete Row 2 and populate the required columns: Computer Name, First Known Ethernet Zone and Plaque/Room Number
    *First Known Ethernet Zone should match exactly with the zone hierarchy from the topmost zone to the exact zone where the computer is located, separating each zone with a pipe “ | ”.


  5. Drag completed templated, or click on any area within the dotted box to upload csv file from your computer
  6. Click on “Upload” to upload machines
