This article details the two methods end users can leverage to trigger alerts: Keyboard hotkeys and/or mouse activation
The Computer Panic Button software can be triggered two different ways:
Method #1: Keyboard Hotkeys
End user can press the keyboard 'Hotkeys' to trigger an alert. The 'Hotkeys' are a two button sequence that must be pressed in order. The 'Hotkeys' default to ALT + Backspace, but can be changed by System Administrators by visiting this URL: CPB
Note: It is important to note that end users should press and hold the first button, and then press the second button while still holding down the first button.
Method #2: Mouse Activation
End users can trigger an alert by double-clicking (left click) the 911Cellular icon that lives in the system tray (located in the bottom right corner of computers running Windows):
Note: if you don't see the icon, it might be hidden, you can click the downward facing arrow to expand the area and will likely see it:
For increased visibility, you can press and hold the icon and then drag it into the toolbar.
